What is mediation?
Mediation is a structured, voluntary and confidential process in which an impartial mediator helps the parties communicate, understand each other’s interests and build their own solution. It preserves relationships and is often faster and less costly than litigation.
When is mediation suitable?
- Commercial and contractual disputes.
- Disputes between partners, neighbours, families and communities.
- Disputes involving institutions, municipalities or civil society.
How the process works
- Request: submit an enquiry through the form below or contact the center.
- Preliminary review: the center contacts the parties and confirms their willingness to mediate.
- Appointment: an impartial mediator is proposed and confirmed.
- Sessions: joint and separate meetings help the parties explore options.
- Agreement: if the parties agree, the settlement is recorded in writing.
Mediation rules, forms and fee schedules will be published in the Documents section once formally adopted.
